Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak it under cold water first. For pre-soaked rice, use 1.5 cups of water per 1 cup of rice. Place the rice in a saucepan with water, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer until the rice has absorbed all the water.To give the rice a special flavor and color, you can add saffron or any other spices during the cooking process.
